You can register on-site at the EIJ Registration desk in the J-Expo in the Marquis Ballroom.

What are the on-site registration fees?

– $430 for professional members
– $315 for student members and for retired members
– $630 for professional non-members
– $375 for student non-members and retired non-members

Where is EIJ17 registration desk?

The EIJ17 Registration Desk is in the J-Expo, which you can find in the Marquis Ballroom in the meeting space at the Anaheim Marriott. We’re open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 8.

Should I download the mobile app before I get there?

Absolutely! Search “Excellence in Journalism 2017” in your app store, or use this link. The app is your portable program guide, personal conference schedule and connection to other attendees. Need help logging in? Use the email associated with your registration and the password: EIJ2017. Still need help? Email tpuckey@spj.org for more help.

How do I follow the student news coverage of the conference?

Just scroll through the app menu to find all four student news teams and click right into their coverage without ever leaving the app!

If rooms change or I need to know something important, how can I find out?

Keep checking the app! We’ll pin important announcements to the top of the Activity feed. You can also follow the #EIJ17 hashtag on Twitter.

Where is EIJ17 registration desk?

The EIJ17 Registration Desk is in the J-Expo, which you can find in the Marquis Ballroom in the meeting space at the Anaheim Marriott. We’re open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 8.

What is the hotel check-in time?

Hotel check-in time is 4 p.m. Check-out time is Noon.

Are there places to eat nearby?

How do I get to the Opening Night Reception?

The Opening Night Reception is at Bowlmor Lanes, about .7 miles from the hotel. It’s a short walk or a quick cab ride.

Where can I find the Freelance Corner?

Get some advice at the Freelance Corner, located in the alcove right outside of Grand D.

How can I have experts check out my work?

Conference Amenities

What is the Quiet Nursing Room?

The Quiet Nursing Room is perfect for new mothers. Head to the EIJ17 Registration Desk to pick up a key. Users must provide registration with a driver’s license to get the key, and promptly return it. There are tables and outlets, as well as a sign-up sheet on the door for privacy. It is in Suite 304 in the Palms tower, and you can take the elevators near the lobby to the third floor.
