Rates: $169 for single/double, $185 for triple/quad.

Reservations: Reserve a room online or call 888-627-7033. To get the group rate, reference 2016 Excellence in Journalism Conference when booking. The group rate is available until September 6, 2016 or until the block sells out, whichever comes first.

Parking: Valet parking service is available for guests. Self-parking is not available. Due to limited space, parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

0-2 hours: $12 plus tax
2-9 hours: $24 plus tax
9+ hours: $40 plus tax

Check-in and Check-out: Check-in is 3 p.m. and check-out is 12 p.m.

Ground Transportation

Hotel shuttle service: The hotel does not provide shuttle service.

Shared ride service: You may reserve a shared ride service between the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel and Louis Armstrong International Airport through New Orleans Airport Shuttle. Rates are $24 per person one way or $44 per person roundtrip. Please call 504-522-3500 for information, or make reservations online at least 24 hours prior to your flight departure.

Taxi: Taxis are available outside of baggage claim. The average fare to our New Orleans hotel is $36 for 1 or 2 guests and $15 per person for 3 or more guests.

Bus: JET (Jefferson Transport) bus goes from the airport to downtown Central Business District on weekdays only, for $2, and the drop-off point is about a 7-8 block walk from the hotel to the nearest stop.

RTA bus goes from airport to downtown New Orleans. It runs on weekends and the drop-off point is less than 7-8 blocks from hotel. Cost is $1.50 (40 cents (for those over 65). See a map and schedule [PDF] here.
